Welcome to our 2012 Adult Community Education (ACE) Programme.
ACE Taranaki has a commitment in providing you, our community, with an efficient and friendly service for those who want to gain confidence, learn a new skill, enhance self esteem, be successful and become lifelong learners.
We are a Charitable Trust with a focus on promoting community spirit and the development of appropriate social, educational / leisure activities and community well being.
Our courses are non-formal with no tests or exams. Our skilled tutors ensure that you and your class enjoy a successful learning experience and at the end will be able to assess your progress.
Don’t be nervous about joining our classes - everyone is helpful and down to earth! Try something new to keep you up to date with technology, indulge in a new interest or come to keep the body fit and brain working!

Please Note - some classes are not held on public holidays, so please check the scheduled dates prior to enrolling.
Adult Community Education courses are for those who are 16 years and over and who have left school. ACE Taranaki cannot take responsibility for children of participants brought onto any of our venues.
If enrolments do not reach the required number for a course (8), that course will be cancelled with a full refund. Please ensure you enroll at least one week prior to the course commencement date to avoid disappointment.
If for financial reasons you feel excluded please contact us as we may be able to assist.
All fees are in $NZ currency and include GST. Fees must be paid at the time of enrolment.
Discounts available are as follows:
5% if you pay your enrolment fee at least two weeks before your course starting date
5% if you enrol for the whole year
Please note the maximum course discount for any course/person is 10%.
Some courses require an additional fee for materials and/or ingredients - this is indicated on the course description page. Additional costs are payable to your tutor at the first session.
Receipts are emailed to you at the time of enrolment or posted out on request, along with any special requirements needed for the course.
In unforeseen circumstances we reserve the right to change the advertised programme and/or tutor. Every effort will be made to inform enrolees.
If a course does not receive the required minimum enrolments (8), or for some other unavoidable reason, the course is cancelled, a full refund will be issued. Please ensure we have a daytime contact number for you.
Cancellations notified more than 7 days before a course is due to commence will qualify for a 90% refund.
Cancellations notified during the week before a course starts, you will qualify for a 50% refund.
Transfers to another course are taken up to the week prior course commencement.
No refunds or transfers will be given for withdrawals received on the day the course is due to start or after commencement.
We guarantee a 200% refund should you not be completely satisfied with your chosen course. If, in the first two weeks your course is not what you expected, a full refund will be given along with free enrolment into any other course of your choice (conditions apply).
Course Evaluations are distributed at the end of each course for your personal evaluation of the course. Your opinions are important to us, so please comment freely.
